Austin High School held a pep- fest  Friday, September 30th, 2016 at 2:30pm for the announcement of homecoming king and queen. There were five nominees for each position. The nominees for kings were Jany Gash, Corbin Munger, Isaac Arnold, Emilio Pitchford, and Tanner Steene. The nominees for queen were Mary Willrodt, Vy Hoang, Kallie Bumgarner, Awenia Nywesh, and Rebecca Younis. All the nominees were are class of 2017 seniors. Student council of class of ‘17 make sure things are set in order with the help of Ms. Malo who is one of the vice principal’s at AHS. Ms. Malo mostly supervises the student council. Student council meet for many hours to plan and to set up everything for homecoming. Everything includes coronation, homecoming dress up days, games for battle of connects, and the little details the make everything run smoothly.

Wednesday, October 5th the winners for king and queen were Isaac Arnold and Kallie Bumgarner. Both said they were very honored to represent class of 2017 and to have the great opportunity to  have the great experience.
