On December 14, 2018, at an Austin girls basketball game against Mankato West who was ranked top at the start of the season competed for another victory. Austin knew that they needed to play heart and soul in order to win against Mankato West, but before we move into a very interesting start to the basketball season we should take a look on what it to get there. Being a basketball player is not for the faint of heart, it takes time and dedication to this sport because you play as a team.

Everyone needs to be at their best at all times even one day can have negative effects. Every day, day in and day out they practice their shot, drills and working as a team. Which paid off when they played Mankato West, their dedication to their sport showed and made a very interesting game to watch. Austin made 87 percent of their shots from the free throw line, with Abby Lewis making 18 points and seven rebounds. The ending score was Austin 75- Mankato West 74. Austin played a very good game and with the help of the fans, Austin made the impossible, possible.
