The Packers held their own in the first period. The first period ended with the score 1 to 0. Jordyn McCormack stated, “we knew going into the game it was going to be tough, but we wanted to still compete and skate our hardest.” The Raiders came out fast in the second period and scored a few minutes in, making it a quick 2-0. The second period ended 3 to 0. The Raiders increased their lead in the third period scoring two goals. The fifth of those goals was scored with just 30 seconds left in the game.

Jordyn McCormack said, “Northfield is the top team in our section and even though we lost, we still had good parts of the game where we played with them and competed.” The Packers next game is against the John Marshall Rockets on Saturday, January 12, in Austin’s Riverside arena. we will put together a game for it.”
