The new Disney movie “Moana” was released on November 23, 2016. In the movie, Moana is stuck between choosing who her father wants her to be and who she is as a person. She soon sees that her island is dying. She goes on an adventure only to find Moui and her people have lost who they are. So they Many children and adults loved the movie of it’s great music and fun characters. Even Moana’s Song “I am Moana” is always played in people’s homes.

Between the beautiful colors and wacky actions, “Moana” has been a big hit for viewers everywhere. Some say even bigger than Disney’s other critically aclaimed “Tangled” and “Frozen.”

The movie critics also love the movie. “As usual, you succumb to an enjoyable experience that splits the difference between mythology and merchandising.” A.O Scott. The movie is fun, happy, and gives an overall powerful feeling of being who you are. “My favorite part of Moana is the dancing crab.” Says Taeler Baxter who is a sophomore at Austin High School.  It’s good to have a movie that lifts your spirit and makes you happy. To understand who you are is a big journey all by itself.
